A Socially Responsible Approach to Business Development
Green Market Lane™ provides opportunities for small farmers and independent food entrepreneurs to take their products "from field to fork".
The business model is a hybrid between a local market, where the vendors are “invisible” to the customer, and a farmers market, which is only open
during limited hours on special days.
Green Market Lane™ will occupy "in-fill" properties, taking already existing buildings and re-purposing them as a market and community gathering place.
We will seek out the finest artisan food purveyors in a 200-mile radius of each Green Market Lane™ to occupy the retail spaces. These independent businesses
will share overhead and marketing costs, and will experience the benefits of cross-marketing and increased foot traffic.
The Right Idea at the Right Time
Spurred by environmental concerns and vanishing regional food traditions, people are clamoring for accountability and transparency into the food they put on their tables. As the movement towards sustainable, organic, local, and ethical (“SOLE”) food gains traction across the United States and the world, Green Market Lane™ is perfectly positioned to take advantage of this remarkable shift in the way people evaluate and buy their food.
